An IMMV can be renamed using the `ALTER TABLE` command.

## `pg_dump` and `pg_upgrade`
After restoring data from a `pg_dump` backup or upgrading `PostgreSQL` using `pg_upgrade`, all IMMVs must be manually dropped and recreated.
